Short version: Dawnstar Trading runs entirely on your own computer. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and this website is designed to collect as little as possible.
Dawnstar Trading is a local application. Your broker credentials, strategies, trade history, and settings are stored only on your machine — broker keys sealed in an encrypted vault (Argon2id + AES-256-GCM). There is no Dawnstar account and no Dawnstar server, so this information never reaches us. Orders and market data travel directly between your machine and the brokers/data providers you choose to connect, under their own privacy terms. If you supply your own third-party AI API key, requests you send go directly to that provider under its terms.
The site is a static marketing page. In its default form it sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. If we later add privacy-respecting analytics or a contact form, we will update this policy, disclose exactly what is collected, and — where required — ask for consent first (defaulting analytics off until you opt in).
The desktop app is distributed via a third-party host (for example, GitHub Releases). Downloading it is subject to that host’s privacy practices, which are outside our control.
Because we do not collect personal data through the app or the default site, there is little for us to hold, correct, or delete. For any privacy question, contact Dawnstar Development & Publishing at the address published on our contact channel.
